To replace the evaporator in most of the vehicles we need to remove the dashboard as showed in the photos above. It's a very tough job. It consume lots of time to complete this task. That's why it cost you more for the labor.
In this photo we can see the old & new evaporator. We are removing the old evaporator (salaza) from the ventilation/ Evaporator box. There's a small leak in the old evaporator for which reason the cooling refrigerant comes out & we can smell the refrigerant oil while the air blows in. thus we need to refill A/c gas again and again. it depends on the leakage. sometimes gas might come out within 1 day/ 2 day/ 1 week/ 1 month or more than 3 months.

He also gets bad smell inside the car while switch on the a/c blower coming from the dash. His explanation and with the help of our technician we found the trouble with the A/C. We can watch how the old evaporator looks. Due to its leakage the A/C compressor lubricant came out of it and gets concentrated with the dust. That's why we can smell bad fragrance while switching on the A/C blower.
In this image it shows the rear A/C blower is removed. To get the rear blower motor we have to open the rear side interior. There are many reasons for the rear blower not working. Problems with a blower motor control module are less frequent. It fails due to corrosion or overheating when the motor is jammed or shorted. In most cases when a blower control module fails, the blower motor doesn't work at all. In some cars (e.g. older GM trucks), a failed blower control module or processor can cause the blower motor to continue running even with the ignition OFF.

Mitsubishi Pajero complete dashboard dislodged and replaced new A/C Evaporator (Salaza) & expansion valve. After that, we flushed complete A/C system, tested leakage & refilled A/C refrigerant R134a.
The car dashboard is eliminated along with the ventilation. We get the evaporator box out and then removed the old evaporator. It's a quite tough job to do so. It consumes lots of time to replace an evaporator.
Here we can spot the old & new evaporator. The old evaporator is completely clogged with dust & compressor lubricant along with water. That's why when we turn on the A/C blower we get an unpleasant smell from the air. So we flushed the complete A/C system and replaced the new evaporator and the refilled A/C Gas R134a with a new compressor lubricant.
